On 15 March, Ana Marwan, the recipient of the 2022 Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, will be at Literaturhaus Graz to talk about her second novel Cocooned. The novel, which received the 2022 Kritiško sito Award, an award bestowed by the Association of Literary Critics for best Slovenian book of the year, has just been published in Austria to rave reviews.
Gabriela Babnik will be presenting the German translation of her award-winning novel, Dry Season, at the Steiermärkische Landesbibliothek on Thursday, 30 March. Dry Season, which takes on themes of racism, the role of women in modern society and the loneliness of the human condition, was awarded the 2013 European Union Prize for Literature and has so far been translated into fifteen languages.
