The Serbian translation of the autobiographical novel was published last year by Laguna, in translation by Sonja Ćirić. A shocking but witty book tells the story of the narrator's: her childhood, which revolved around her family, Benko cocoa, Albert cookies, Gavrilović paté, and the broadcast of the Sarajevo Olympic Games 1984. Nevertheless, the novel is also and above all a story about growing up and dealing with loss and illness.
The author will talk about her book with marketing manager and podcaster Jelisaveta Miletić and her editor at Laguna Nevena Milojević. During the conversation, excerpts from the book will be read by the actress Anica Dobra, who will play the main role in the film based on the novel.
On Thursday, 25 April 2024, at 6 p.m., Bronja Žakelj will be at the Kafetarija bukmarker in the Belgrade bookstore Delfi SKC to talk about the Serbian translation of her award-winning bestselling novel Whites Wash at Ninety.
